Inducted makers only

Everyone who uses the lab is inducted first, so you know the printers and the printers stay happy. Your induction is our beginners 3D printing lesson.

Book the beginners lesson

Our 3D Printing for Beginners lesson covers slicing, materials and running a Prusa. No experience or printer needed, just bring a laptop.

Get inducted

Finish the lesson and you're signed off as a Drop Bear Labs maker.

Make whenever we're open

Once you're inducted, the lab is yours to use during business hours, 7 days a week.

How a job runs

Quote it, print it, collect it

1. SliceSlice your model for a Prusa MK4 or MK3.9 in PrusaSlicer, at home or on the lab laptop.

2. QuoteUpload the file to the quoter for an instant price, GST included.

3. DocketPrint or email yourself the docket and bring it to the counter.

4. PrintWe ring it up and hand you the filament. You start your print.

5. CollectHang out in the arcade while it prints, or head off and we'll call you when it's done.

Pricing

Pay for what you print

Your price is the filament your job uses, by weight, plus machine time to cover the power. The quoter reads the weight and print time straight from your sliced file, so the number you see is the number you pay.

The fine print. Your slicing and settings are your responsibility. RSFPV staff aren't responsible for reprinting or fixing jobs that fail because of slicing or settings. If a job does fail, staff will let you know. If you're not in the store when your job finishes, we'll call you to come and collect it.
