Name: Sharon Gould

Pilot Name: Blondeangel

How did you get into FPV drones: through my husband Jared, initially I got a little whoop, then a 3" for racing, then got into racing 5" quads

What civilian club do you race with: Rotorcross (ROX) in Perth, WA

Currently flying: Impulse RC JS-1 frames with HDZero, ELRS How long have you been flying drones for: I've dabbled in FPV since December 2017 but really focused on racing since early 2022.

Tips for those getting into FPV: get in contact with your local FPV club if you have one and head down to check out what they do. Most pilots have a wealth of information and have tried and tested a lot of products over the years before finding what works for them, and are happy to give you some help and advice so you can get decent equipment the first time and know what you are doing with it. Often also recommend with younger pilots in particular to get a transmitter and have a go at the sims first to get a feel for FPV flying before spending the money for the gear.

Achievements: have competed in the 2019 and 2022 Australian Drone Racing Nationals. Have been selected for the Australian team competing in the 2023 FAI World Drone Racing Championship in Korea in October.
